Chocolate tart

Delight the whole family with these delicious and simple coconut tartlets, perfect for kids too!
Ingredients:
  • 250g good dark chocolate
  • 150g butter
  • 80.40 gm golden syrup
  • 3 eggs plus 1 yolk
  • 30g plain flour
  • 50g caster sugar
  • 6 x 10cm ready-made tart shells or 1 x 23cm tart shell made using 2 quantities of pastry (see related recipe)
  • Cream or creme fraiche, to serve
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to 180°C.
  • Melt the chocolate, butter, and syrup together in a bowl over simmering water, then allow it to cool.
  • Whisk together eggs, yolk, flour, and sugar in a bowl. Slowly incorporate the chocolate into the mixture. Fill tart shells and bake for 15 minutes (or 25 minutes for a large tart). The filling should have a slight wobble but will set as it cools, remaining moist. Serve with cream or creme fraiche.
