Indulgent chocolate tart with a smooth ganache filling, a simple yet elegant dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup cold butter
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • In a food processor, blend flour, sugar, and salt until mixed. Add cold butter and pulse until mixture resembles crumbs. Gradually pour water into the processor until dough forms. Wrap dough, then chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) while you generously grease an 8-inch tart pan.
  • On a floured surface, roll dough into a 10-inch disc using a floured rolling pin.
  • Gently lay the dough into the tart pan, trim any excess dough from the edges, and create holes on the bottom and sides of the dough.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 23 minutes until lightly browned. Let it cool completely for about 1 hour before serving.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat heavy whipping cream for 2 minutes until bubbles form around the edges. Add chocolate chips and rest for 15 to 20 seconds. Whisk until smooth, then pour the chocolate ganache into the cooled crust. Allow it to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate until serving.
