Decadent chocolate yogurt cake, with whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, and a hint of black coffee, remains moist for days when stored properly.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups full-fat yogurt
  • 0.5 cup canola oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons brewed coffee
  • 2.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder
  • 2.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9-inch cake pan.
  • In a bowl, combine yogurt, sugar, oil, eggs, coffee, and vanilla extract. Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg; whisk until batter is airy. Transfer batter to the cake pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 15 minutes on a wire rack, then gently loosen the edges with a knife. Carefully invert onto a serving plate or cooling rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
