Satisfy your sweet and nutty cravings with decadent chocolate slice.
Ingredients:
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pistachio nuts
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Decorator sugar crystals, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with shortening.
  • Combine granulated sugar, butter, milk, and egg in a large bowl until smooth. Add in all ingredients except for sugar crystals. Transfer mixture into a pan and top with sugar crystals.
  • Bake for 50 to 55 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before removing the loaf from the pan onto a wire rack. Cool completely for about 2 hours before slicing.
