Craft charming train cookies for a delightful treat.
Ingredients:
1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
Flour, butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch for cutout cookies
Betty Crocker™ Cookie Icing in desired colors
1 tube (4.25 oz) Betty Crocker™ white decorating icing
Assorted candies and sprinkles
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare train templates for cutting out train shapes or simply use 3- to 4-inch cookie cutters.
Combine cookie mix, flour, butter, and egg in a medium bowl until a soft dough forms. Roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface. Use templates or cookie cutters to create 6 train engines, 6 box cars, and 6 cabooses. Arrange them 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly golden brown on the edges. Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Garnish with icings and candies to your liking, creating 6 trains by placing an engine followed by a box car and a caboose in each. Allow to set.
