A modern take on a traditional treat, with just five simple ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch™ cereal
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans or sliced almonds, toasted
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Prepare a 15x10x1-inch pan by lining it with heavy-duty foil and spraying the foil with cooking spray. Evenly spread the cereal in the pan.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, heat butter and brown sugar until bubbling. Avoid stirring for 2 minutes once it boils. Pour the mixture evenly over the cereal in the pan right away.
  • Bake for 12 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle a generous amount of luscious chocolate chips on top. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes. Drizzle melted chocolate all over and finish with a sprinkle of crunchy pecans. Let it cool for about 1 hour. Pop it in the refrigerator for 20 quick minutes to let the chocolate set, then break it into delightful pieces. Keep it covered in the refrigerator for up to a week to enjoy at your leisure.
