Steamed Italian clams in savory wine, butter, and spices, a delectable dish for entertaining. Enjoy the flavorful broth with crusty bread.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 36 clams in shell, scrubbed
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter until bubbly. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in wine and sprinkle with oregano, parsley, and red pepper flakes.
  • Add the clams to the fragrant wine mixture and cook covered until they all open up, approximately 5-7 minutes. Remove any clams that remain closed. Serve the delicious clams in soup bowls and generously pour the broth over them.
