  • 1 bag (12 oz) fresh or frozen cranberries (about 3 1/2 cups)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
Instructions:
  • Place the cranberries in a strainer and give them a refreshing rinse under cool water, making sure to discard any stems or blemished berries.
  • In a 3-quart saucepan, bring sugar and water to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Allow to boil for 5 minutes.
  • Combine cranberries and heat until boiling, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes until cranberries pop. Allow to cool for 30 minutes, then transfer to a serving dish. Refrigerate for 1 hour until thickened or for 3 hours until chilled.
