Classic German Chocolate cake frosting and filling.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1.3333300352097 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • In a sturdy 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, simmer condensed milk, egg yolks, and butter for 10 minutes, stirring consistently until it bubbles. Take off the heat and mix in coconut, pecans, and vanilla.
  • Let the mixture cool for 15 minutes then spread it on the cake.
