Innovative Easter ham recipe wows guests, becomes instant hit.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 pound) boneless ham
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle cola-flavored carbonated beverage
  • 1 cup grape juice
  • 1 (20 ounce) can sliced pineapple, drained with juice reserved
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Score diagonal lines onto ham, spaced about 1 inch apart, using a knife. Place the ham in a large roasting pan and generously pat brown sugar over the entire surface, allowing some to naturally fall into the pan.
  • Bake the ham in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes until the sugar starts to melt. Take the ham out of the oven and add cola, grape juice, and reserved pineapple juice to the pan. Baste the ham with the cola mixture and place it back in the oven.
  • Baste the ham every 20 minutes for 2 hours. Halve the pineapple rings. When the ham is done, place the pineapple rings in the drippings. Rest the ham for 10 minutes, then slice and serve with pineapple and sauce.
