Festive family-favorite holiday cookie recipe that guarantees delight!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 cups any flavor fruit jam
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Combine the butter and cream cheese in a medium bowl until smooth. In another bowl, sift together the flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and baking powder. Gently stir the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture. Knead the dough by hand briefly.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness. If the dough is sticky, refrigerate for 30 minutes. Use a round cookie cutter or glass rim to cut circles. Add 1/2 teaspoon of preserves to the center of each circle. Fold in half and seal the edges with a fork. Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Combine the remaining sugar with cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll warm cookies in the sugar mixture.
