Cheesy asparagus and corn casserole - a simple and delicious side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup butter, melted
  • 1 (15 ounce) can creamed corn
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 (10 ounce) can asparagus tips, drained
  • 0.5 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Prepare the baking dish by greasing it with butter, then evenly spread creamed corn on top. Next, evenly sift flour, sugar, salt, and pepper over the corn. Pour evaporated milk and eggs over the mixture, then gently fold in the asparagus.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until it begins to set.
  • Top asparagus mixture with Cheddar cheese and bake until melted, casserole is fully set, and edges are lightly browned, around 5 minutes.
