Elevate your Thanksgiving with savory cornbread sausage stuffing for a delicious flavor explosion!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage
  • 2 cups diced celery
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 5 cups crumbled cornbread
  • 5 cups seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2.75 cups chicken broth
  • 1.5 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage, crushed
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • In a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage, celery, and onions together, stirring often and breaking up the sausage with a spoon, until the sausage is evenly browned and crumbly and the vegetables are translucent, about 7 to 10 minutes. Once done, remove from the heat and drain off any excess fat.
  • Place the sausage mixture in a large bowl. Incorporate crumbled cornbread, bread crumbs, chicken broth, poultry seasoning, and sage. Mix thoroughly and transfer to a 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover with foil.
  • Bake in the oven until the stuffing is perfectly set and cooked through, approximately 45 minutes.
