Almond flour creates decadent cookies ideal for tea parties or dessert platters.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup ground almonds (use spice grinder to grind into powder form)
  • 1 2/3 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Combine butter, sugar, and ground almonds in a large bowl. Mix with an electric mixer until smooth. In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to the butter mixture with the electric mixer on low speed.
  • Roll the dough into tablespoon-size balls and arrange them on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the bottom is golden brown while the tops stay light. Transfer to a cooling rack and let cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • Combine cinnamon, nutmeg, and powdered sugar in a bowl. Dip the tops of the cookies into the mixture.
