Crabby Cream Cheese Wontons

Creamy crab wonton filling made with cream cheese, garlic, and onions in a crispy wrapper, served hot with sweet and sour sauce over rice. Perfect for snacking or as a meal.
Ingredients:
1quartoilfor deep frying
2 (8 ounce) packagescream cheese, softened
1 (12 ounce) packageimitation crabmeat
2tablespoons soy sauce
2teaspoons sesame oil
1tablespoonmincedgarlic
3tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1bunchgreen onions, finely chopped
1 (14 ounce) packagewonton wrappers
2egg whites
Instructions:
In a large, heavy saucepan, bring oil to a sizzling 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Combine cream cheese, imitation crabmeat, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and green onions in a medium bowl, blending them thoroughly.
Spoon a dollop of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each wonton wrapper.
In a small bowl, gently spread the egg whites over two edges of the wonton wrappers using your fingers. Fold them into triangles and press firmly to seal the edges.
Fry the wontons in small batches until beautifully golden for 2 to 4 minutes. Drain on paper towels and serve them warm.
