Tangy limeade with a splash of cranberry juice for a vibrant twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4-8 limes, depending on how juicy they are)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cranberry juice (if you use sweetened cranberry juice, reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe a little bit)
  • Simple syrup made with 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water
  • An additional 1 1/2 cups water
  • Ice
Instructions:
  • Prepare a fragrant simple syrup by heating 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan until the sugar dissolves completely. For a delightful twist in your limeade, enhance the syrup by adding the zest of a couple of limes while heating. After cooling, strain out the zest using a fine mesh strainer before using.
  • Juice the limes while the simple syrup cools.
  • Pour lime juice, cranberry juice, 1 1/2 cups of cold water, simple syrup, and a few ice cubes into a serving pitcher. Adjust the ice and water quantities based on desired strength and temperature. Add more ice if serving immediately or more water if too strong. Balance sweetness by incorporating more lime juice and water. Adjust sugar amount for next batch if desired. Enjoy your cranberry limeade!
