Transform Tuna Helper into a delicious, creamy chicken soup in just 35 minutes. Enjoy a comforting meal!
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced (1 cup)
  • 2 medium stalks celery, sliced (1 cup)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1 carton (32 oz) Progresso™ reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 box Tuna Helper™ creamy broccoli
  • 2 cups cut-up cooked chicken
  • 1 dried bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons basil pesto
Instructions:
  • In a 5-quart Dutch oven or stockpot, melt the butter over medium heat. Sauté the carrots, celery, and onion for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are crisp-tender.
  • Combine broth, milk, uncooked pasta, sauce mix (from the Tuna Helper box), chicken, and bay leaf in a pot. Bring to a boil, then simmer uncovered for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until pasta and vegetables are tender.
  • Discard the bay leaf from the soup and ladle it into bowls. Transfer the pesto into a small resealable plastic bag, seal it, cut a small hole in the corner of the bag, and drizzle the pesto over the soup.
