Ingredients:
  • 12 ounces dry fettuccini noodles
  • 8 ounces fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 0.75 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 pound cooked ham, diced
Instructions:
  • 1. Boil a pot of lightly salted water until it is rolling. Add fettuccini pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until it is tender but slightly firm. In the final five minutes of cooking, toss in the asparagus and then drain the mixture.
  • Heat cream and butter in a saucepan until bubbly, then stir in Parmesan, garlic powder, pepper, and cayenne. Cook until thickened, then add ham and heat through.
  • Combine the pasta, asparagus, and sauce, ensuring everything is well mixed; serve right away.
