Zesty twist on classic citrus cake with a burst of lemon flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix
  • 1 (3 ounce) package lemon flavored Jell-O® mix
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 (3 ounce) package instant lemon pudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Bake the cake according to the package instructions in a 9x13 inch pan. While it's hot, use the round handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes in the cake. In a bowl, prepare the gelatin with just 1 cup of boiling water. Pour the liquid gelatin over the hot cake. Let the cake cool down completely.
  • Combine whipped topping, pudding mix, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cake and chill until serving time.
