Lemon Orange Frosting

Delicious and creamy frosting perfect for white or lemon cakes. Enough to generously cover a 9-inch layer cake.
Ingredients:
  • 6 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 large oranges
Instructions:
  • Cream the butter until creamy, gradually mix in confectioners sugar until smooth. Add the egg yolk and lemon juice, followed by enough orange juice to reach desired consistency. Mix in grated rind of 1 lemon and 2 oranges. Spread onto cake.
