Creamy mushroom and bacon fettuccine carbonara

Ingredients:
  • 250g bacon, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 125g mushrooms, sliced
  • 20.00 ml garlic, crushed
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 250ml thickened cream
  • 500g fettuccine
Instructions:
  • Prepare the fettuccine as per the instructions on the packet.
  • Heat oil in a large pot until shimmering. Add bacon and onion, sauté for 3 minutes. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and mushrooms. Once bacon is crispy, pour in thickened cream and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens.
  • After cooking the fettuccine, drain it and toss it with the sauce. Mix thoroughly and plate up for a delicious serving.
