Refreshing orange poke cake featuring gelatin-flavored pockets. Perfect for picnics!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package orange cake mix
  • 1 (3 ounce) package orange flavored Jell-O® mix
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon orange extract
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
Instructions:
  • Bake the cake mix in a 9x13-inch pan following the instructions on the package. Use the round handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes in the cake while it's still hot.
  • Create gelatin in a medium bowl using just 1 cup of boiling water. Drizzle the warm liquid gelatin over the cake. Allow the cake to cool fully.
  • Prepare vanilla instant pudding in a medium bowl with just 1 cup of milk. Mix in vanilla and orange extract. Gently blend in whipped topping. Spread the mixture evenly over the cake. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving.
