Elevate meatballs with creamy roasted garlic sauce, sliced onions, and skewers for easy enjoyment.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large onion, cut in half, then cut into 1/4-inch wedges
  • 2 tablespoons chopped roasted or regular garlic (from 4-oz jar)
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 1 package (16 oz) frozen meatballs
  • Chopped fresh parsley, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a 4-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes. Stir frequently to build rich flavors.
  • Generously dust flour and pepper onto the onion mixture. Sauté for 1 minute, stirring continuously. Gradually pour in half-and-half while stirring constantly. Gently fold in the meatballs.
  • Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the meatballs are heated through. Transfer to a 1 1/2- to 2-quart slow cooker on Low heat setting. Keep warm for up to 2 hours. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
