Try broiling instead of frying for a quick and tasty Creole-seasoned catfish dish.
Ingredients:
  • 8 (8 ounce) fillets catfish
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder with parsley
  • 1 tablespoon spicy seasoned salt
Instructions:
  • Prepare the ingredients and preheat the broiler in the oven, positioning the rack 5 inches below the heating element.
  • After a refreshing rinse under cold water, gently pat dry the fish fillets. Then, coat both sides with oil and elegantly lay them in a single layer on a broiler pan lined with foil.
  • Combine the seasoned pepper, garlic powder, and seasoned salt in a small bowl to create a flavorful spice mixture. Generously sprinkle half of the mixture over one side of the fish.
  • Broil until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  • Gently flip the fish using a spatula and sprinkle with the remaining spice mixture. Broil until the fish is cooked through, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Enjoy while it's hot.
