"Serve these irresistible crostini as a perfect appetizer to please your guests while they wait for the main course."
Ingredients:
  • 1 ficelle* or half a baguette
  • Olive oil, to brush and drizzle
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 120g ricotta cheese
  • 20.00 ml chopped basil
  • 1 small red chilli, seeds removed, finely chopped
  • 100g pitted black olives, roughly chopped
  • 1 tomato, seeded, finely diced
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 170°C. Cut the ficelle into thin slices widthways, then brush them with oil and arrange them on a baking tray.
  • After baking for 15 minutes or until golden, gently massage the warm dish with garlic for added flavor.
  • Combine creamy ricotta with fragrant basil, spicy chili, and briny olives in a bowl.
  • Season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Spoon onto toasted crostini, layer with fresh tomato slices, and serve with a drizzle of fragrant extra virgin olive oil.
