Delightful custard-dipped apples coated in crunchy granola. A fun and tasty twist on classic toffee apples, perfect for dessert or a snack.
Ingredients:
  • 6 small Granny Smith apples
  • 300g (2 cups) icing sugar mixture
  • 2 1/2 tbsp-60ml (1/4 cup) French Vanilla Double Thick custard
  • 60g (3/4 cup) berry granola, finely chopped (see notes)
  • Cinnamon, to dust
Instructions:
  • Prepare a baking tray with a layer of parchment paper. Skewer each apple with a bamboo paddle skewer.
  • In a bowl, combine sugar with 2 1/2 tbsp of custard, stirring until smooth. Gradually add more custard if needed until well combined (see notes).
  • - Dip one apple into the luscious custard mixture, letting any extra drip off. Sprinkle generously with granola before placing it on the tray. Repeat with the rest of the apples, custard, and granola. Finish off by dusting the apples with aromatic cinnamon. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes to set. Serve and enjoy!
