Tantalizing chicken dish with unique flavors of brown sugar, soy sauce, and cocoa. Serve over fragrant fried rice with a side of refried beans. Customize with your preferred veggies and cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup light soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon dried sage
  • 0.25 cup finely ground almonds
  • 0.25 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 0.25 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 0.25 cup cubed tomatoes
  • 0.66666668653488 cup diced Swiss cheese
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cubed
Instructions:
  • Combine the brown sugar and soy sauce in a bowl, then mix in cocoa, cilantro, sage, and almonds. Set aside.
  • Combine the green bell pepper, red bell pepper, tomatoes, and Swiss cheese in a separate bowl.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, warm the oil. Add chicken and cook for 15 minutes until juices run clear. Lower the heat to low, and stir in the brown sugar and soy sauce mixture until heated. Serve topped with peppers, tomatoes, and cheese.
