Spooky and tasty Devil's Dentures by Chef John - a must-have for your Halloween spread!
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 medium McIntosh apples, quartered
  • 2 tablespoons slivered almonds, or as needed
  • 1 tablespoon honey, or to taste
Instructions:
  • In a medium bowl, combine water and lemon juice.
  • Prepare the apple quarters by carefully slicing ½ inch inside the edge towards the core, ensuring not to cut through completely. Rotate and repeat on the other side until the cuts meet, then remove the core. Treat the apples with lemon-water to avoid browning.
  • Place the almond slices into the little holes made along one gum line with the tip of a knife. Then, make holes in the opposite gum lines between the top teeth of the apples and insert almond slices.
  • Place beautifully arranged ingredients on a platter and generously drizzle with luscious honey.
