Indulge in a decadent Devil's Float dessert - chocolate cake on top of rich chocolate pudding, a crowd-pleaser for chocolate lovers.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
  • Combine flour, 3/4 cup white sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt by sifting them together in a bowl. Mix in milk, butter, and vanilla extract until just combined; then gently fold in pecans. Transfer the batter into an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • Combine 1/2 cup white sugar, brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons cocoa powder in a bowl, then sprinkle over the batter. Pour hot water over the layers.
  • Bake until the top cake layer gently floats on the bottom pudding layer, approximately 40 minutes in the preheated oven.
