Indulge in a rich and luxurious dark chocolate cake.
Ingredients:
  • 583g pkt Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 65g chocolate chips
  • 150g Baking 70% Cocoa Dark Chocolate, chopped
  • 2.20 gm Queen Vanilla Essence
  • 60ml thickened cream
  • 50g Baking 70% Cocoa Dark Chocolate, extra, grated
  • Raspberries, to serve (optional)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C and prepare a 20cm round cake pan by greasing and lining it.
  • Prepare the Betty Crocker Devil’s Food Cake Mix per package instructions, gently mixing in the Cadbury Dark Chocolate Chips. Pour the batter into the pan and bake. After baking, let it cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool thoroughly.
  • Combine chopped chocolate, frosting from the cake mix packet, Queen Vanilla Essence, and cream in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water, ensuring the bowl doesn't touch the water. Stir until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
  • Gently coat the cake with the delightful frosting mixture. For a decadent touch, garnish with grated chocolate and raspberries right before serving.
