Deviled Ham with Pickled Jalapeños

Fiery deviled ham jam with crunchy celery, zesty green onions, and tangy pickled jalapeños.
Ingredients:
  • 7 ounces boneless ham steak, cut into cubes (about 1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 small stalk celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sliced pickled jalapenos
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 teaspoons chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 8 slices white sandwich bread, crusts removed
  • 1 1/2 cups thinly sliced iceberg or butter lettuce
Instructions:
  • Pulse the ham in a food processor until finely ground but not pasty. Transfer it to a bowl. Follow by pulsing the celery and pickled jalapeños, then add them to the bowl with the ham.
  • Combine the mayo, cumin, and green onions: Gently mix in the mayonnaise and cumin, then fold in the chopped green onions.
  • Create delightful sandwiches by layering the bread and crisp lettuce. Cut the sandwiches diagonally for an elegant presentation.
