Create irresistible dog treats with melted carob chips and peanut butter, finished with bacon and cheese. Bow WOW-worthy!
Ingredients:
  • 5 slices bacon
  • 2 slices Cheddar cheese (3/4 oz each)
  • 2 cups carob chips
  • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
Instructions:
  • Prepare a foil-lined cookie sheet by lightly spraying it with cooking spray.
  • Cook the bacon in a 12-inch skillet over low heat for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping occasionally, until it is crispy. Place the bacon on paper towels to drain, then roughly chop it and set it aside.
  • Cut out 15 dog bone shapes from cheese slices using a 1 1/4-inch small cookie cutter. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, heat carob chips in the microwave uncovered on High for 30 seconds, then stir. Microwave for an additional 30 seconds, then stir in the peanut butter.
  • Spread the luscious carob mixture onto a 9-inch square of foil, ensuring it is 1/4-inch thick. Sprinkle the irresistible combination of bacon and cheese on top, gently pressing them in. Let it chill in the freezer for 15 minutes or in the refrigerator for 30 minutes until perfectly set.
  • Unwrap from foil and gently break into 18 delightful pieces. Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
