This traditional eggnog recipe has been passed down for generations, with a hint of Grandma's favorite kick. Easy and delicious, it's a crowd-pleaser that is sure to impress eggnog enthusiasts. Don't forget to use a mixer for best results - you won't have any leftovers!
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups white sugar
  • 1 quart bourbon
  • 1 cup rum
  • 2 quarts half-and-half cream
  • 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg, or amount to taste
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
Instructions:
  • Combine eggs and sugar in a large bowl, beat with an electric mixer until thick and pale, for about 5 minutes. Gradually mix in bourbon, rum, half and half, and nutmeg.
  • Whip the chilled cream until it forms stiff peaks. Gently fold the whipped cream into the egg mixture. Transfer to a plastic container and refrigerate overnight, if you can. Give it a good shake before serving.
