Festive double chocolate cookies with cranberries and semisweet chips are ideal for holiday gifting.
Ingredients:
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups dried cranberries
  • 1.5 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease two cookie sheets.
  • Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt by sifting them together in a bowl.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, incorporating each before adding the next. Stir in vanilla extract. Slowly add flour mixture until well mixed. Fold in cranberries and chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart. Gently press each ball down with a fork to slightly flatten.
  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 12 to 14 minutes until they are soft and the tops lose their gloss. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
