Colorful frosting-dipped sugar cookies brighten any occasion!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • Few drops red and blue food colors
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, butter, and egg in a large bowl until a dough forms. Use a rounded tablespoon to scoop the dough into 24 pieces and roll each one into a ball. Place the dough balls 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges turn light golden brown. Let cool for 1 minute, then transfer from cookie sheets and cool completely.
  • Divide 1/3 cup of frosting into two small microwavable bowls. Mix red food color into one bowl and blue food color into the other bowl. Set aside.
  • Prepare two cookie sheets by lining them with wax paper. Transfer the remaining 1 cup of frosting into a separate small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave the uncovered bowl on High for 30 seconds. Dip each cookie halfway into the white frosting, allowing any extra frosting to drip off. Place the dipped cookies on the wax paper and let them sit for 20 minutes to set.
  • Microwave red and blue frosting in bowls on High for 30 seconds. Dip the white-frosted side of each cookie halfway into the red or blue frosting, leaving some white exposed. Let excess frosting drip off. Arrange on wax paper and allow to set for 30 minutes. Store in a single layer at room temperature, loosely covered.
