Delicious peach pie with a sweet and spiced filling, perfect for any party.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted, or as needed
  • 1 tablespoon quick-mixing flour (such as Wondra®), or more as needed
  • 1 (15 ounce) package pastry for a double-crust 9-inch pie, at room temperature
  • 4 cups frozen unsweetened peach slices, thawed
  • 0.33333334326744 cup quick-mixing flour (such as Wondra®)
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons powdered fruit pectin
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan with 1/2 tablespoon melted butter and evenly dust with 1 tablespoon flour.
  • Place 1 pie crust in the pan, gently pressing it along the bottom and up the sides. Use a fork to create small vents in the dough. Brush the crust edges with the remaining melted butter.
  • In a spacious bowl, add sliced peaches and gently drain any extra liquid.
  • Combine 1/3 cup flour, sugar, pectin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a separate bowl. Gently pour mixture over the peaches and incorporate evenly.
  • Pour the filling into the pie crust and sprinkle with 4 teaspoons of butter. Place the second pie crust on top and seal by folding and fluting the edges. Vent the steam by poking the top crust gently with a fork and cutting a small hole in the center. To prevent excess browning, cover the edges of the pie with foil strips.
  • Preheat the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Then, lower the heat to 350°F and continue baking for 40-45 minutes until the crust turns golden and the juices start bubbling. Let it cool before serving.
