Upgrade your grilled cheese by doubling the cheese in this 4-ingredient dinner recipe from Betty Crocker.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 8 slices bread
  • 4 slices (1 ounce each) Cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices (1 ounce each) Monterey Jack or mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
  • Evenly coat one side of each slice of bread with butter.
  • In a 12-inch skillet, layer 4 slices of bread with buttered sides facing down. Place 1 slice of Cheddar cheese and 1 slice of Monterey Jack cheese on each slice of bread. Top with the remaining bread slices with buttered sides facing up.
  • Cook the sandwiches over medium heat until the bottoms are golden brown, then flip and continue cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is melted and both sides are golden brown.
