Create a flavorful cranberry sauce with fresh cranberries and dried cherries for a standout Thanksgiving dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 6 ounces dried cherries
  • 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, combine cranberry juice cocktail, water, brown sugar, cinnamon stick, and allspice. Bring to a boil. Add cherries and cook for 2 minutes. Add cranberries and cook until they pop, about 10 minutes. Chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours to overnight. Remove and discard cinnamon stick before serving.
