Savory bacon and beer cupcakes with beer-infused cream cheese frosting.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
1cupshreddedCheddar cheese (4 oz)
3slicesbacon, crisply cooked, crumbled
3/4 cupbrown ale beer
3tablespoons butter, melted
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cuppowdered sugar
2tablespoons brown ale beer
2slicesbacon, crisply cooked, crumbled
Ground red pepper (cayenne)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425°F. Line 10 regular-size muffin cups with foil baking cups and lightly coat with cooking spray.
Combine Bisquick mix, sharp Cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon in a large bowl. Mix in 3/4 cup beer and melted butter until ingredients are incorporated. Spoon batter into muffin cups evenly.
Bake until beautifully golden brown, then transfer out of the pan and let cool for 15 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and softened butter. Mix in powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of beer until smooth. Spread the frosting on each cupcake and top with bacon. Finish by sprinkling with red pepper for a touch of heat.
