Succulent pan-seared chicken breasts braised in Marsala wine with mushrooms.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 0.5 cup Marsala wine
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, garlic salt, pepper, and oregano in a bowl. Coat chicken lightly in the flour mixture.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil and butter. Add chicken and cook until lightly browned for about 2 minutes. Flip the chicken, then add mushrooms. Cook, stirring mushrooms occasionally, until chicken is browned on the other side, approximately 2 more minutes.
  • Drizzle Marsala wine over chicken, then cover the pan and let it simmer gently on low heat until the chicken is cooked through and the juices run clear, about 10 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the center reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
