Easy Easter bunny cake made with cake mix, frosting, jellybeans, and red licorice for a cute and festive dessert!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.333 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 (16 ounce) container vanilla frosting
  • 3.75 cups flaked coconut
  • 30 small jellybeans
  • 4 sticks red licorice
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease two 9-inch metal springform pans.
  • In a big bowl, use an electric mixer on low speed to blend cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until moistened, about 30 seconds. Increase speed to medium and beat for 2 more minutes. Pour the batter into the pans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 23-28 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centers comes out clean.
  • Allow the cakes to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then gently release them from the springform pans and let them cool completely for an additional 20 minutes.
  • Place a cake on a serving tray to create the bunny's head.
  • Cut out 2 ears from each side of the second cake and attach them to the head to create ears. Position the leftover piece about 1/2 inch below the head to make the bowtie.
  • Cover the bunny cake with a generous layer of creamy vanilla frosting. Sprinkle shredded coconut over the cake to add texture on top and around the sides. Create the bunny face and bowtie by placing colorful jellybeans, and use licorice to make adorable whiskers.
