Elevate any dish with this simple and delicious balsamic onion jam. Great on rice or toast!
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
  • 2 onions, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.25 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, sizzle onion in olive oil until golden and caramelized, for 10 to 12 minutes. Mix in water, balsamic vinegar, and brown sugar until sugar dissolves and mixture simmers. Lower heat, simmer until thickened to your liking, about 30 minutes.
