Delicious Indian veg dish: paneer cheese, onion, bell peppers marinated, skewered, grilled.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground red chile pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.25 teaspoon garam masala
  • 7 ounces paneer, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 large onion, cut into 1-inch squares
  • 1 green bell pepper, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced into thin rings
  • 0.5 cup green chutney
Instructions:
  • Place a fine-mesh strainer lined with muslin or cheesecloth over a small bowl. Pour yogurt into the strainer and allow it to drain for 15 minutes. Discard the liquid.
  • Combine the drained yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, turmeric, chili powder, cumin, garam masala, and salt in a bowl. Add paneer, onion, and green bell pepper, thoroughly mix everything together, and marinate for 1 hour.
  • Heat up the grill until it reaches medium temperature and brush the grate lightly with oil.
  • Thread the flavorful marinated paneer, onion, and bell pepper onto sturdy metal skewers. Grill until the vegetables are tender and the cheese is beautifully golden, which should take 6 to 8 minutes. Finish with a quick brush of vegetable oil and grill for an additional minute for a touch of perfection.
  • Coat onion rings generously with vibrant green chutney and present them on skewers for a delightful and flavorful appetizer.
