Satisfy a crowd with savory slow cooker Spanish rice - a simple beef and rice dish cooked in spicy tomato sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 (28 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 green bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 yellow onions, chopped
  • 1 cup converted raw rice
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon hot sauce, or to taste
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, or to taste
Instructions:
  • In a hot skillet, brown and crumble beef until lightly cooked, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain off excess fat.
  • Place beef in a slow cooker and add tomatoes, tomato sauce, green bell peppers, water, onions, rice, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and hot sauce. Cook on High for about 3 hours until rice is tender. Serve in bowls and sprinkle with Cheddar cheese on top.
