Savory baked wontons stuffed with flavorful edamame filling. Delicious and satisfying!
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon canola oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (12 ounce) package frozen shelled edamame (green soybeans)
  • 0.33333334326744 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 28 wonton wrappers
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm up the sesame and canola oils. Add the garlic and cook for 10 seconds until aromatic. Incorporate the frozen edamame and cook until they are tender and starting to brown, which takes about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the heat once browned, and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) while generously greasing a baking sheet.
  • After the edamame have cooled slightly, add them to a blender with green onion, hoisin sauce, and soy sauce. Blend until smooth. Cover blender while blending.
  • Prepare the wontons by laying out the wonton wrappers. Add 1 tablespoon of the edamame filling in the center of each wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrappers with water. Fold one corner to the opposite corner to create a triangle shape, then press to seal. Transfer to a baking sheet, spray lightly with cooking spray, and sprinkle with salt.
  • Bake until the triangles are crispy and golden brown, approximately 12 to 14 minutes in the preheated oven.
