Fun and easy edible cookie ornaments made with Bisquick, perfect for decorating your Christmas tree with a festive touch!
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Betty Crocker™ Cookie Icing in colors of choice
  • Ribbon, cut into 6-inch or longer pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F, and prepare a cookie sheet by spraying it with cooking spray or lining it with parchment paper.
  • Combine 2 cups of Bisquick mix with powdered sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla in a large bowl until a soft dough forms. Transfer dough onto a work surface sprinkled with the remaining 1 cup of Bisquick mix, then knead until well incorporated.
  • Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch. Cut out shapes using 2-inch star- and stocking-shaped cookie cutters or your favorite Christmas cookie cutters. Place the cutouts on a cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Use a straw to cut a small hole at the top of each cookie.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown, then allow to cool completely on the cookie sheet.
  • If desired, use icing to decorate cookies. Thread ribbon through the holes in cookies and tie for hanging.
