Holiday eggnog bread with pecans, raisins, and colorful candied cherries.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup butter, melted
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.5 cup raisins
  • 0.5 cup chopped red and green candied cherries
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease an 8x4 inch loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and eggs. Mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt alternately with the eggnog until just combined. Gently fold in the pecans, raisins, and cherries until well distributed. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the top turns golden and springs back when lightly touched, approximately 70 minutes. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
