Tender and zesty slow cooker BBQ for tasty sandwiches. Perfect with toasted buns.
Ingredients:
  • 7 pounds boneless chuck roast
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cups ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions:
  • Add the roast and water into the slow cooker. Cook on LOW heat for 2 to 4 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
  • Shred the beef, discarding any fat. Set aside 1/2 cup of broth from the slow cooker. Combine vinegar, brown sugar, dry mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Season with salt, pepper, cayenne, and garlic. Mix well to coat the meat evenly.
  • Allow the beef to simmer on LOW for 4 to 6 hours. Add the reserved broth as needed to keep it juicy. Serve on toasted buns and freeze any leftovers for later.
