Enticing cake recipe with a nod to Elvis.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Follow the cake mix instructions and bake in a 9x13 inch pan. Let it cool completely.
  • In a saucepan, mix pineapple and sugar, bringing it to a boil. Pour the mixture over the cooled cake.
  • Cream together the butter and cream cheese until silky smooth in a large bowl. Incorporate the powdered sugar until well combined. Gently stir in the vanilla followed by the pecans until evenly mixed.
  • Frost cake with delicious cream cheese frosting.
