Irresistibly delicious cookies that vanish quickly. Freeze the dough or baked cookies for later enjoyment.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup fruit preserves
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Combine the butter and cream cheese until smooth. Mix in the flour. Form the dough into a ball, wrap it in foil or cling wrap, and chill in the refrigerator overnight or for up to a week.
  • 1. Allow the dough to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before using. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the chilled dough until thin. Use a 3 or 4-inch round cookie cutter to cut out circles. Spoon a small amount of jam into the center of each circle, then moisten the edges with water.
  • Carefully enclose the filling by folding the round pastry over and sealing the edges firmly. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. While still warm, coat with a delightful mixture of sugar and cinnamon for a classic touch, or opt for a dusting of confectioners' sugar for a sweeter finish.
